The plague was spread by the rats fleas that stowed away on the boats.
The fleas on the rats jump from the rat to a man on the ship and bite him so now hes sick.
People died so fast that the town had special carts made and just walked them through town to pick up the dead people.
Its because of the garbage of the town that the rats stayed, because it gave them food allowing them to spread the disease even more.
The people dig very big graves to put the infected bodies in after they die so they can burn them.
The people were so terrified of the black death that the fled to the country spreading it even further.
